Deep Healing Meditation for Winter Relaxation and Tranquility

As I sit down to share my thoughts today, I find myself reflecting on the essence of mental wellness and how I've evolved in my approach to it. Greetings to everyone, and a warm welcome to those who've joined us from various online platforms. It's a pleasure to have you here.

My journey as a therapist, with eight years of experience and specialization in areas like childhood trauma, addiction, grief, loss, and working with highly sensitive individuals, has been a transformative one. Over the years, I've gradually distanced myself from the traditional illness model of mental health care—focused on diagnosing and prescribing—and embraced a wellness model. This model emphasizes recognizing and building upon what's positive in our lives, enhancing our happiness and peace, and transitioning from mere survival to thriving.

I often share my personal experiences because I believe in the power of real stories over highlight reels. My own struggles with PTSD, stemming from childhood trauma, have been a significant part of my journey. I've had to confront and overcome the challenges of growing up with a mother who married a known child predator. My path led me to play a role in bringing him to justice, and while I've healed significantly, I recognize the ongoing nature of personal growth and evolution.

One critical aspect of my practice and personal philosophy is the skepticism towards the idea that pharmaceuticals are the sole solution for mental health issues. Medication, in my view, offers limited relief from symptoms but does not address the deeper, more complex process of healing. Healing, as I see it, involves learning new ways of living and thinking, especially for those who have been conditioned to exist in a constant state of survival.

Today, I want to delve into the concept of meditation and its role in the healing process. Meditation, often misunderstood as an attempt to achieve a state of 'nothingness,' is actually about presence and mindfulness. It's a tool to counter the relentless pace and pressures of modern life, a practice that allows us to center and ground ourselves.

I want to invite you to join me in a winter meditation, a journey within to discover peace and tranquility. Imagine being in a snowy forest, feeling the crisp, clean air, and creating your own space of calm and serenity. It's an exploration of inner peace, a step away from the constant overthinking and stress that many of us are accustomed to.

In closing, I extend my gratitude to my listeners and my team. Remember, it's our birthright to thrive, to move beyond mere survival. As we approach the end of the year and look forward to 2024, let's commit to a journey of self-love and healing. I encourage you to explore the meditation packs available on our website, which offer a focused way to practice peace and self-love.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Remember, you're an emotional badass, and together, we're where moxie meets mindful. Until next time, embrace the light and love, and the endless possibilities that lie in healing.
